Description
Flexible drainage connector from VIPSeal for joining 4 inch clay drainage pipe to compatible PVC underground drainage pipe. This VDC115 drain coupling is useful for drainage repairs, pipe alterations and clay-to-plastic pipe connections where the outside diameters sit within the 100-115mm range.
The flexible EPDM rubber sleeve fits around the outside of the pipework and tightens with stainless steel tension bands. This helps create a secure joint between suitable drainage pipes, even when joining different pipe materials.
VIPSeal VDC drain couplings are used to connect and repair low and non-pressure drainage systems. The VDC115 size range covers 100-115mm outside diameter pipework, making it suitable for many 4 inch / 110mm drainage repair applications where compatible.
Before fitting, always measure both pipe outside diameters. Clay pipe can vary in size, so checking the pipework first helps ensure the coupling is suitable for the job.

How to Use a Flexible Drainage Connector
First, measure the outside diameter of both pipes. Make sure both pipe ends fall within the 100-115mm range before fitting the connector.
Next, clean both pipe ends. Remove grit, dirt, grease and damaged edges so the rubber sleeve can sit evenly around the pipework.
Slide the connector onto one pipe end. Then line up the second pipe and centre the coupling over the joint. Finally, tighten both stainless steel tension bands evenly until the fitting is secure.
