Description
The flexible drainage connector 175-200mm is a VIPSeal standard coupling used to join compatible plain ended drainage pipes with outside diameters between 175mm and 200mm. It is suitable for underground drainage repairs, pipe connections and site alterations where a flexible external coupling is required.
This VIPSeal VSC coupling is commonly used on sewers, drains and other low or non-pressurised drainage applications. It can be used to connect pipes of suitable outside diameter, including compatible clay, PVC, concrete, cast iron and other drainage pipe materials.
Because this connector is sized by pipe outside diameter, always measure the pipe before installation. The 175-200mm range is suitable for pipes that fall within that outside diameter range, including many 6 inch clay and 200mm PVC drainage pipe applications.
Flexible Drainage Connector for 200mm Pipework
This flexible drainage connector is useful where a rigid socketed fitting is not suitable. It can be used for joining cut pipe lengths, repairing damaged pipe sections, connecting plain ended pipes and making site drainage alterations.
The EPDM rubber sleeve helps create a watertight seal when the connector is fitted correctly. The stainless steel tension bands and shear band help support the joint and provide resistance against movement, deflection and earth loads.

VSC200 Flexible Drainage Connector Size Range
The VSC200 coupling is designed for pipes with an outside diameter range from 175mm to 200mm. This makes it a useful connector for larger underground drainage pipework, provided both pipe ends fall within the correct outside diameter range.
Before fitting, check both pipe outside diameters and confirm they sit within the connector range. Do not rely only on nominal pipe size, as clay, PVC and other pipe materials can vary in outside diameter.
If there is a significant difference between pipe outside diameters, a different VIPSeal adaptor coupling or suitable bush may be needed. Always check the installation before backfilling.
Flexible Connector Installation Use
This flexible drainage connector should be installed over clean, plain ended pipework. Cut pipe ends should be square, clean and free from sharp edges, loose material, dirt or debris before the connector is fitted.
Slide the connector into position, centre it over the joint and tighten the bands evenly to the correct torque. Correct tightening is important because it helps the connector form a secure seal around the pipe ends.
The fitting should not be forced onto pipework that is outside the stated size range. Poor pipe alignment, damaged pipe ends or incorrect tightening may affect the seal and long-term performance.
Drainage Repair and Site Connection Work
This connector is a practical product for builders, groundworkers, landscapers and drainage installers working on underground drainage repairs and site pipe connections. It is useful when joining short pipe lengths, repairing damaged sections or connecting different drainage pipe materials with similar outside diameters.
For best results, make sure the pipe run is properly supported with correct bedding and backfill. The connector should remain evenly supported after installation so the joint is not placed under unnecessary stress.
This product is not an access fitting. If rodding or inspection access is needed nearby, use a suitable access pipe, inspection chamber or rodding point as required by the drainage layout.
