Description

The Xpert Mitre Shears Fixed Blade Trim Cutter is a heavy-duty cutting tool for glazing, window fitting, gasket trimming and general trade trim work. It is ideal for cutting plastic trims, rubber gasket, uPVC trims, wood mouldings, conduit, beading and other lightweight trim materials.

These mitre shears feature a solid replaceable SK5 blade for strength, durability and clean cutting performance. The anvil cutting action helps produce precise cuts, while the large 50mm cut length makes the tool useful for wider trims and gasket materials.

The multi-angle base plate gives clear cutting guidance for common mitre angles, including 15°, 30°, 45° and 90°. As a result, the shears are useful for trim fitting, window and door installation, picture mouldings, laminate edging and general finishing work.

This Mitre Shears tool has cushioned non-slip handles for comfort and control during repeated cutting. It also includes a safety locking mechanism for safer storage in a van, toolbox or workshop.

How to Use Mitre Shears

Unlock the shears and set the material against the base plate at the required angle. Use the angle markings to line up straight or mitre cuts before applying pressure.

Cut with steady hand pressure and allow the blade to slice through the material cleanly. For best results, keep the trim supported and avoid twisting the material during the cut.

After use, close the handles and engage the safety lock before storing the tool. Keep the cutting edge clean, and replace the blade with a compatible GKT03105 spare blade when it becomes blunt, damaged or unsafe.
