Description
Security tape from PAL Adhesives is designed for glazing, sealed unit positioning and uPVC window fabrication. This 2mm black double sided security tape measures 10mm x 40m and is ideal for trade glazing, window fitting and secure bonding applications where a slim foam tape with extra build-up over 1mm tape is required.
The double sided polyethylene foam construction provides strong adhesion and a neat fixing layer for glazing and fabrication work. It is commonly used for security glazing, sealed unit support, glazing bar applications, trims and general bonding work in window and door installations.
PAL Adhesives lists the RAS66101 range as double sided polyethylene security glazing tape with hot melt adhesive. The technical sheet states that thicknesses greater than 1mm are approved for security glazing applications and have been independently tested to BS7950:1997 for enhanced security performance.
For best results, apply to clean, dry and dust-free surfaces. Always check that the 2mm thickness, 10mm width and adhesive type are suitable for the frame system, sealed unit and installation method being used.

How to Use Security Tape
Make sure the frame, glass or trim surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose material before applying the tape.
Apply the tape evenly to the required surface, pressing firmly along the full length to ensure good contact. Avoid stretching the tape during application.
Remove the liner when ready to bond, then position the sealed unit, trim or glazing component carefully. Apply even pressure to complete the bond.
