Description
Security tape from PAL Adhesives is designed for glazing, sealed unit positioning and uPVC window fabrication. This 1mm black double sided security tape measures 10mm x 50m and is ideal for trade glazing, window fitting and secure bonding applications where a thin, reliable foam tape is required.
The 1mm polyethylene foam construction provides strong adhesion with minimal build-up, making it suitable for precision fitting work on black or dark frame systems. It is commonly used for security glazing, sealed unit support, glazing bar applications, trims and general bonding work in window and door installations.
PAL Adhesives lists the RAS66101 range as double sided polyethylene security glazing tape with hot melt adhesive. The 1mm technical data sheet confirms pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive, 67kg per cubic metre foam density and service temperature from -20°C to +70°C.
For best results, apply to clean, dry and dust-free surfaces. Always check that the 1mm thickness, 10mm width and adhesive type are suitable for the frame system, sealed unit and installation method being used.

How to Use Security Tape
Make sure the frame, glass or trim surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose material before applying the tape.
Apply the tape evenly to the required surface, pressing firmly along the full length to ensure good contact. Avoid stretching the tape during application.
Remove the liner when ready to bond, then position the sealed unit, trim or glazing component carefully. Apply even pressure to complete the bond.
