McAlpine FLEXCON4 is a 40mm / 1½” flexible waste connector with universal connections at both ends. It is designed for sink, bath, utility and appliance waste pipework where a rigid fitting cannot easily line up.

The McAlpine FLEXCON4 is a practical flexible waste fitting for plumbers, kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters and maintenance teams working on 40mm waste pipework. It is useful where the existing pipework is slightly misaligned, restricted by space or difficult to connect with standard rigid fittings.
The flexible concertina-style body allows the fitting to form an offset or angle between two compatible waste fittings. This makes it a useful problem-solver for repair work, refurbishment jobs and awkward waste runs below sinks, baths, utility sinks and appliance waste pipework.
The FLEXCON4 has universal outlet connections at both ends, making it suitable for connecting into compatible traps, wastes and waste fittings. Its adjustable length gives fitting flexibility where pipe positions are already fixed.

FLEXCON4 vs FLEXCON2
The McAlpine FLEXCON4 is the 40mm / 1½” universal x universal flexible connector. The McAlpine FLEXCON2 is the 40mm / 1½” universal x plain spigot version.
Use FLEXCON4 where both ends need to connect into compatible universal waste fittings. Use FLEXCON2 where one end needs a plain spigot connection.
Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that both trap or waste connections are suitable for a 40mm / 1½” universal connection. Dry fit the FLEXCON4 first to check the required angle, offset and working length.
Make sure both ends are fully seated into the compatible connections before tightening. Avoid over-stretching or twisting the flexible body, and make sure the waste pipe run still has a suitable fall for drainage.
After installation, run water through the waste pipework and check all joints for leaks.
