McAlpine WM3 is a 40mm / 1½” washing machine standpipe trap with a 75mm water seal and Multifit compression outlet. It is designed for appliance waste installations where a washing machine or dishwasher discharge hose needs to drain into a vertical standpipe.

Installation Notes
Before fitting, check the required standpipe height from the appliance instructions and make sure the waste pipe route is suitable for a 40mm / 1½” trap. Fix the standpipe securely and connect the outlet to suitable waste pipework using the Multifit compression connection.
Insert the appliance discharge hose into the standpipe to the correct depth, making sure the hose is not pushed too far down and cannot siphon. After installation, run the appliance discharge and check the trap, standpipe and outlet connection for leaks.
