McAlpine SM10 is a 40mm / 1½” bath trap with a 50mm water seal and cleaning eye. It is designed for bath waste installations where a deeper water seal is required, while still allowing access for cleaning and maintenance.

Installation Notes

Tighten the compression nut securely by hand, then run water through the bath waste and check all joints for leaks.
Make sure the cleaning eye remains accessible where possible. This will make future inspection and maintenance easier. For restricted under-bath spaces, check available clearance before fitting.
The McAlpine SM10 is the 50mm seal bath trap with cleaning eye. For a shallow 19mm seal bath trap, use the Q10. For an extended body 60mm seal bath trap, use the SM10E.
