McAlpine ASC10 40mm 1½” Adjustable Inlet Tubular P Trap
McAlpine ASC10 is a 40mm / 1½” adjustable inlet tubular swivel P trap for sink, basin, urinal and general waste pipe installations. It is designed for domestic plumbing repairs, maintenance work, replacement jobs and trade installations where a 40mm P trap is required with extra height adjustment.

The adjustable inlet helps line the trap up with the waste outlet, while the swivel body helps align the horizontal outlet with the waste pipe. This trap has a 75mm water seal to help prevent drain odours from coming back through the waste system. It is made from white polypropylene and TPE, giving a durable and lightweight fitting for everyday plumbing use.
The ASC10 uses a 1½” Multifit compression outlet. This connection is suitable for common waste pipe materials including plastic, copper and lead pipe, giving installers more flexibility when connecting into new or existing waste runs.

Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that the waste outlet and waste pipe are suitable for a 40mm / 1½” trap. Cut the waste pipe cleanly and make sure it is fully seated inside the Multifit compression outlet. Adjust the inlet height to suit the waste outlet, then rotate the swivel body to line up with the waste pipe.
Tighten the compression nuts securely by hand. After fitting, run water through the waste and check all joints for leaks. The McAlpine ASC10 is the adjustable inlet version. If no height adjustment is required, the standard SC10 tubular P trap may be suitable instead.
