McAlpine E10-BL 32mm 1¼” Black Shallow Bottle Trap
McAlpine E10-BL is a 32mm / 1¼” black shallow bottle trap for basin waste installations. It is ideal for bathrooms, cloakrooms, vanity units and exposed basin pipework where a black finish is preferred over a standard white trap.
McAlpine E10-BL Trade Overview
The McAlpine E10-BL is the black version of the shallow basin bottle trap. Its compact body makes it useful where space below the basin is limited, such as inside vanity units or smaller cloakroom basins.
The black finish makes this trap a good choice for modern bathrooms where the waste pipework remains visible. It works well with black basin wastes, black taps and darker bathroom fittings, giving a cleaner finished look below the basin.
This trap has a 50mm water seal to help prevent drain odours from coming back through the basin waste. It also features a 1¼” Multifit compression outlet, suitable for common waste pipe materials including plastic, copper and lead pipe.

Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that the basin waste outlet and waste pipe are suitable for a 32mm / 1¼” trap. Cut the waste pipe cleanly and make sure it is fully seated inside the Multifit compression outlet. Tighten the compression nuts securely by hand.
After installation, run water through the basin and check every joint for leaks. Make sure the trap remains accessible for future cleaning and maintenance.
