McAlpine A10V 32mm 1¼” Anti-Syphon Bottle Trap
McAlpine A10V is a 32mm / 1¼” anti-syphon bottle trap for basin and sink waste installations. It is designed for jobs where a standard bottle trap is needed but where gurgling, syphonic pressure or trap seal loss may be a concern.
McAlpine A10V Trade Overview
The McAlpine A10V is a white polypropylene bottle trap with a built-in anti-syphon valve. This valve helps neutralise negative syphonic pressure in the waste system. As a result, it helps reduce gurgling noises and helps protect the water seal inside the trap.
This makes the A10V a useful option for plumbers, bathroom fitters and maintenance teams working on basin waste pipework. It is suitable for domestic repair, maintenance and improvement work, as well as replacement jobs where an existing basin trap is noisy or prone to losing its seal.
The trap has a 75mm water seal to help prevent drain odours from coming back through the basin or sink waste. It also features a 1¼” Multifit compression outlet, which is suitable for common waste pipe materials including plastic, copper and lead pipe.

Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that the basin or sink waste outlet is suitable for a 32mm / 1¼” trap. Cut the waste pipe cleanly and make sure it is fully seated inside the Multifit compression outlet. Tighten the compression nuts securely by hand, then run water through the basin or sink and check all joints for leaks.
The A10V has a fixed inlet. If height adjustment is needed, use the adjustable inlet anti-syphon version instead.
