Description
The swept bend is used to create a smooth 92.5 degree change of direction in 50mm solvent weld waste pipe systems. It is a practical fitting for larger sink, bath, shower, utility and general plumbing installations where pipework needs to turn neatly.

Using a Swept Bend
Before fitting, check that the pipe and fitting are the correct size, clean and dry. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs, chamfer the pipe end where required and follow the correct solvent weld process for the system being installed.
Once solvent cement is applied and the joint is made, leave the connection to cure according to the solvent cement instructions before testing or putting the waste system into use.
Bend for 50mm Waste Pipe Runs
This swept bend is suitable for 50mm waste pipework where a smoother directional change is preferred. It can help keep pipe runs neat while reducing the sharpness of the turn compared with a compact knuckle bend.
Before ordering, check the pipe size, colour and bend style required for the installation. If a tighter change of direction is needed, a 50mm knuckle bend or conversion bend may be more suitable.
