Description
The swept branch is used to create a branch connection in 40mm solvent weld waste pipe systems. It is a practical fitting for sink, bath, shower, utility and general plumbing installations where one waste pipe run needs to join into another.
This 40mm solvent weld swept branch is suitable for compatible solvent weld waste systems and is available in Black, Olive Grey and White to match common pipework colours. The swept branch shape helps form a neater connection than a square junction and is useful where flow direction needs to be considered.

The swept branch is designed for 40mm waste pipe systems where a branch connection is required. It is commonly used where a secondary waste run needs to connect into a main pipe run while keeping the installation tidy.

Using a Swept Branch
Before fitting, check that the pipe and fitting are the correct size, clean and dry. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs, chamfer the pipe end where required and follow the correct solvent weld process for the system being installed.
Once solvent cement is applied and the joint is made, leave the connection to cure according to the solvent cement instructions before testing or putting the waste system into use.
Branch for 40mm Waste Pipe Runs
This swept branch is suitable for 40mm waste pipe layouts where one run needs to connect into another. It can be used on kitchen, bathroom, shower, utility and general internal waste pipework.
Before ordering, check the pipe size, colour and branch style required for the installation. If a different angle is needed, a 135 degree Y branch or other solvent weld branch fitting may be more suitable.
