Description
The 40mm waste pipe is used for solvent weld plumbing installations where a permanent glued joint is required. It is commonly fitted on sink, bath, shower, utility and general domestic drainage runs.

This 3m pipe is suitable for compatible 40mm solvent weld systems and is available in Black, Olive Grey and White to match common pipework colours. When used with matching fittings and the correct solvent cement, it creates a strong permanent connection for internal plumbing work.

Using 40mm Solvent Weld Pipe
Before fitting, cut the pipe square and remove any burrs from the pipe end. Clean and prepare the pipe and fitting before applying the correct solvent cement for the system being installed.
Once the joint has been made, leave the solvent weld connection to cure according to the solvent cement instructions before testing or putting the system into use.
40mm Waste Pipe for Sink, Bath and Shower Runs
This 40mm waste pipe is a common size used on higher-flow domestic connections, including sinks, baths, showers and utility pipework. It is a practical choice where a permanent solvent weld system is preferred over push fit fittings.
Before ordering, check the pipe size, colour and fitting type required for the installation. If you are working with basin or cloakroom pipework, 32mm solvent weld pipe may be more suitable.
