Description
The 135 degree bend is used to create a smooth change of direction in 40mm solvent weld waste pipe systems. It is a practical fitting for sink, bath, shower, utility and general plumbing installations where pipework needs to be routed neatly.
This 40mm solvent weld obtuse bend is suitable for compatible solvent weld waste systems and is available in Black, Olive Grey and White to match common pipework colours. When installed with the correct solvent cement and pipe preparation, it creates a permanent solvent weld joint.
40mm Solvent Weld 135 Degree Bend
The 135 degree bend is designed for 40mm waste pipe systems where a gradual directional change is required. It is commonly used where a smoother bend is preferred instead of a tighter 90 degree fitting.

Using a 135 Degree Bend
Before fitting, check that the pipe and fitting are the correct size, clean and dry. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs, chamfer the pipe end where required and follow the correct solvent weld process for the system being installed.
Once solvent cement is applied and the joint is made, leave the connection to cure according to the solvent cement instructions before testing or putting the waste system into use.
135 Bend for 40mm Waste Pipe Runs
This 135 degree bend is suitable for 40mm waste pipework where a gradual change of direction is needed. It can help route pipework around units, walls, boxing and other restricted plumbing areas while keeping the run neat.
Before ordering, check the pipe size, colour and bend angle required for the installation. If a sharper directional change is needed, a 40mm 90 degree bend or conversion bend may be more suitable.
