Description
The solvent weld reducer 40mm to 32mm is used to reduce a 40mm solvent weld waste pipe connection down to 32mm. It is a useful waste pipe fitting for plumbing installations where 32mm pipework needs to connect into a 40mm waste system.
This reducer is suitable for compatible solvent weld waste pipe systems and is available in Black, White and Olive Grey to match common waste pipe colours. When installed with the correct solvent cement and pipe preparation, it creates a permanent solvent weld joint.

Using a Solvent Weld Reducer
Before fitting, check that the pipe and fitting are the correct size, clean and dry. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs, chamfer the pipe end where required and follow the correct solvent weld process for the pipe system being installed.
Once solvent cement is applied and the joint is made, the connection should be left to cure according to the solvent cement instructions before the waste system is tested or put into use.
40mm to 32mm Waste Pipe Reducer
This solvent weld reducer is designed for reducing from 40mm waste pipe down to 32mm waste pipe. It is useful where smaller basin or branch waste pipework needs to join into a larger 40mm waste run.
Before ordering, check the pipe sizes and colour required for the installation. If a different reduction is needed, such as 50mm to 32mm or 50mm to 40mm, another solvent weld reducer may be more suitable.
