Description
The rectangular manhole riser is used to build up the height of a compatible rectangular inspection chamber. It helps raise the chamber assembly closer to the finished ground level while keeping access available for inspection, rodding and maintenance.
This Polypipe rectangular riser is designed for use with compatible rectangular underground drainage chamber components. It is commonly matched with the Polypipe rectangular chamber base used on 110mm underground drainage layouts.
The riser is listed by external supplier data as a 610 x 460mm side riser with a 180mm height. It is useful for domestic drainage, extensions, garden drainage, repairs and light-duty site drainage work where extra chamber height is required.

Rectangular Manhole Riser 610 x 460mm
This rectangular manhole riser is used with compatible rectangular underground drainage chamber components. It helps extend the chamber height where the chamber base sits below the finished ground level.
Before fitting, check the chamber base, riser and cover are the correct size and system. Also, make sure the joint areas are clean and correctly aligned before assembly.
Do not mix incompatible chamber systems. If the chamber base is Polypipe UG490, the matching riser should be checked against the supplier or manufacturer data before installation.
Rectangular Manhole Riser Installation Use
The rectangular manhole riser should be installed as part of a properly supported inspection chamber system. Correct bedding, backfill and chamber support help keep the chamber stable after installation.
The riser should sit square and level on the chamber base or matching riser section. The final chamber height should suit the finished ground level and the selected cover and frame.
This product is a riser only. It is not a chamber base, cover or frame on its own.
