Description
The 160mm chamber base is used to create the lower section of a compatible Kayflow 450mm inspection chamber system. It provides access for inspection, rodding and maintenance on larger 160mm underground drainage layouts.
This Kayflow UG1014 chamber base has a 450mm chamber size with 160mm main run and side inlet connections. It is useful where larger 160mm drainage pipework needs to connect into an inspection chamber.
The 5 inlet layout gives installers several connection options. As a result, it is a practical choice for site drainage, larger domestic drainage, extensions, garden drainage, repairs and light-duty commercial drainage work.
160mm Chamber Base for 450mm Inspection Chambers
The 160mm chamber base forms the main lower section of the inspection chamber. It allows compatible 160mm underground drainage pipework to connect into the chamber while keeping future access available.

160mm Chamber Base 5 Inlet Layout
The 160mm chamber base gives practical inlet options for larger underground drainage systems. It can help connect multiple drainage runs into one 450mm inspection chamber.
Before installation, check the pipe route, flow direction, inlet positions, invert level and finished ground level. Then blank off any unused entries before the chamber is backfilled.
Use compatible 160mm underground drainage pipe and fittings where required. If the chamber needs extra height, use the correct Kayflow 450mm riser and riser sealing ring.
160mm Chamber Base Installation Use
Install the 160mm chamber base as part of a properly supported inspection chamber system. Good bedding, support and backfill help keep the chamber stable after installation.
Kayflow states that 450 inspection chambers can be installed to a maximum depth of 1200mm. Therefore, check the final chamber depth before fitting risers and covers.
This product is a chamber base only. It is not a riser, sealing ring, cover or frame on its own.
