Description
The 280mm chamber base 3 inlet 45° is a compact shallow access chamber base for 110mm underground drainage systems. It provides an access point for inspection, rodding and maintenance on smaller foul water and surface water drainage layouts.
This Brett Martin B2800 chamber base is part of the 280mm shallow access chamber range. It includes a main channel with 45° side inlet connections, making it useful where branch lines need to enter the drainage run at an angle.
The chamber base has a 205mm invert and is supplied with 2 socket plugs for unused entries. It is suitable for domestic drainage, extensions, garden drainage, outbuildings, repairs and light-duty site drainage work.
280mm Chamber Base for 110mm Drainage
The 280mm chamber base is designed for compatible 110mm underground drainage pipework. It helps create an inspection point where pipe runs meet, branch or require future maintenance access.
The compact 280mm chamber size is useful where a smaller shallow access chamber is suitable for the drainage layout. Brett Martin states the 280mm shallow access chamber range is suitable for inverts up to 600mm.

280mm Chamber Base 3 Inlet Layout
This 280mm chamber base includes a main channel and side inlet positions for angled branch connections. The 45° inlet layout helps branch pipework enter the chamber more smoothly than a square tee-style connection.
Before installation, check the pipe layout, flow direction, invert level and chamber position. Also, make sure any unused inlets are correctly blanked with the supplied socket plugs before backfilling.
Use compatible 110mm underground drainage pipe and fittings. If risers or covers are required, match them with the correct Brett Martin 280mm shallow access chamber components.
280mm Chamber Base Installation Use
The 280mm chamber base should be installed as part of a properly planned underground drainage system. It can be used where access is needed for cleaning, rodding and inspection.
Correct bedding, support and backfill help keep the chamber stable. The chamber should sit level, and any riser or cover should suit the finished ground level.
Always confirm the loading requirement, cover type and final chamber depth before installation. The chamber must remain accessible after the drainage work is complete.
Shallow Access Chamber for Site Drainage
This chamber base is useful for builders, groundworkers, landscapers and drainage installers working on smaller underground drainage systems. It can be used on new installations, drainage repairs, extensions and outbuilding drainage work.
For best results, use compatible 280mm chamber risers and a suitable cover and frame. Brett Martin risers for this chamber range add 185mm to the chamber assembly.
This product is a chamber base only. It should be used with the correct riser and cover where required by the installation.
Compatible 280mm Manhole Chamber Products
This 280mm chamber base is part of the wider TWS 280mm manhole inspection chamber range. You can match it with compatible risers, sealed covers, 110mm drainage pipe and underground drainage fittings.
