Description
The 200mm bend 30° single socket is an underground drainage fitting used to make a controlled change of direction in 200mm pipework. It is suitable for larger foul water and surface water drainage systems where the pipe route needs a gentle 30° adjustment.
This 200mm underground drainage bend is designed for compatible PVC-U underground drainage pipework. The 30° angle is useful for fine-tuning pipe runs, aligning drainage layouts and working around site obstructions without using a sharper bend.
The single socket design provides one socketed connection, with the opposite end designed to connect into a compatible 200mm socket, coupler or underground drainage fitting. This makes it useful when adjusting a pipe route without needing a double socket bend.
200mm Bend for Underground Drainage
The 200mm bend is used where underground drainage pipework needs to change direction by around 30 degrees. It is suitable for larger drainage runs, foul water systems, surface water layouts, yard drainage and commercial site drainage where 200mm pipework is specified.
A 30° bend is useful where a gradual change of direction is required. It can help installers keep the pipe route neat while avoiding sharper changes that may not be needed for the layout.

200mm Bend Single Socket Connection
This 200mm bend has one socketed connection for compatible 200mm underground drainage pipework. The other end can be connected into a suitable 200mm socket, coupler or drainage fitting depending on the pipe layout.
Before installation, check the pipe route, fall direction and bend position. The fitting should sit correctly within the trench and should not be forced into poor alignment. If the route does not line up correctly, adjust the pipework or use suitable additional fittings.
Use suitable pipe lubricant on ring seal joints where required. Make sure pipe ends are clean before jointing. If pipework is cut to length, make a clean square cut and chamfer the edge before fitting. This helps protect the seal and makes the joint easier to assemble.
200mm Bend Installation Use
The 200mm bend should be installed as part of a properly planned underground drainage system. It is useful where a 200mm drainage run needs a 30° direction change while keeping the system neat and serviceable.
Correct bedding and backfill are important around the bend. The pipework and fitting should be evenly supported so the drainage system remains stable after installation. Poor support can place stress on the socket and may affect long-term performance.
Because this fitting changes pipe direction, the wider drainage layout should include suitable access for future rodding, inspection or maintenance where required. Always follow the site specification, current UK drainage guidance and manufacturer instructions.
Drainage Bend for 200mm Site Work
This 200mm bend is a practical fitting for builders, groundworkers, landscapers and drainage installers working with larger underground drainage systems. It can be used on new installations, pipework extensions, repairs and drainage alterations.
For best results, use compatible 200mm pipe and fittings from the same underground drainage system where possible. This helps keep jointing simple and supports a clean, consistent installation.
This product is not an access fitting. If inspection or rodding access is needed near this change of direction, use a suitable access bend, access pipe, inspection chamber or rodding point as required by the drainage layout.
