Description
The Timco Quarter Moon Glazing Knife 8″ is a specialist curved knife for glazing, PVCu finishing and window fitting work. It is ideal for deburring plastic, trimming rough edges and removing plastic weld sprues during frame preparation and finishing tasks.
This moon glazing knife has a super-sharp stainless steel blade for clean, controlled cutting and scraping. The quarter moon blade shape gives good access around window frames, door frames, beads, seals and plastic profiles where a straight blade may be harder to control.
The non-slip handle helps provide a secure grip during detailed trimming work. It also has a hammer resistant end cap, making it useful for demanding trade environments where glazing tools need to withstand regular van, workshop and site use.
This Quarter Moon Glazing Knife is suitable for window fitters, glaziers, installers, fabricators, maintenance teams and trade users working with PVCu, plastic profiles, sealed units, beads and glazing components.

How to Use a Quarter Moon Glazing Knife
Hold the knife firmly by the handle and position the curved blade against the plastic edge, weld sprue or area being trimmed. Use steady, controlled pressure and work gradually to avoid removing too much material.
For deburring, guide the blade along the edge of the plastic profile to remove rough sections. When removing weld sprues, take light passes until the surface is clean and flush.
Keep hands clear of the cutting edge and always cut away from your body where possible. Store the knife safely after use and replace it if the blade becomes damaged or unsafe.
