Description
The dry verge unit is used to create a neat, mortar-free finish along the edge of a pitched roof. This universal dry verge unit can be used on both left and right roof verges, helping speed up installation and reduce the need for separate handed units.
Designed for use with the Easy-Trim Verge U system, each unit helps secure the edge tiles and protect the exposed roof verge from weather, wind uplift and pest entry. It is suitable for new build roofing, re-roofing and refurbishment work where a reliable dry fix verge system is required.
Made from UV stable polypropylene, the unit is lightweight, durable and easy to handle on site. Once fitted correctly, it creates a clean roofline finish without the long-term maintenance issues often linked with traditional mortar bedding.
Dry Verge Unit for Universal Verge Systems
The dry verge unit is designed to fit either side of the roof verge. This makes it a practical choice for roofers and builders because the same unit can be used on both left-hand and right-hand gable ends.

Fitting a Dry Verge Unit
Start by installing the tiling battens with the correct overhang over the brickwork or barge board. On refurbishment work, remove any old mortar bedding and check that the batten ends are sound before fitting the dry verge system.
Slide the first verge unit over the tile at the eaves and into the starter unit. Then fix through the nail grid into the batten or batten end clip. Continue fitting each unit up the verge, making sure every piece locks neatly into the previous one.
At the ridge, finish the system with the correct ridge cap and blanking plate. This helps close the final verge detail and gives the roof apex a clean, protected finish.

This product is intended for use as part of the Easy-Trim Verge U dry verge system. It should be used with matching starter/end cap packs and ridge caps to complete the roof verge installation correctly.
Before ordering, check the tile type, batten overhang, roof pitch and verge detail. Universal dry verge systems suit many common concrete roof tiles, but they may not suit every slate, high-profile or specialist tile design.
