Description
The brush is used inside roofline guttering to help reduce blockages caused by leaves, moss, twigs and general roof debris. This Hedgehog gutter brush is 125mm in diameter, 4m long and finished in black.
The brush sits inside the gutter channel and helps keep larger debris away from the water flow path. Rainwater can still pass through the bristles, while leaves and twigs are more likely to sit on top, blow away or break down over time.
This 125mm gutter brush is useful for larger gutter profiles where a 100mm brush may sit too loose. It has a stainless steel wire core with polypropylene bristles, giving it a flexible shape that adapts to many gutter profiles.
Gutter Brush for Leaf and Moss Protection
The brush is a simple way to improve gutter protection without fitting mesh or covers over the top of the gutter. It suits domestic roofline work, maintenance jobs and areas where leaves, moss and small debris regularly build up.

Fitting a Hedgehog Gutter Brush
Clean the gutter before fitting the brush. Remove leaves, moss, silt and any loose debris so the gutter can drain properly before the brush goes in.
Choose the correct brush diameter for the gutter. The brush should sit fairly snugly in the channel, with only small gaps at either side. If the brush sits too loose, wind or water movement may disturb it.
Push the gutter brush into the gutter by hand and work along the run. For exposed rooflines, low-hanging gutters or windy areas, use compatible gutter brush clips or UV-resistant cable ties to help secure it in place.
125mm Brush Size Guide
This 125mm gutter brush is best suited to larger gutter profiles or gutters where a smaller brush does not sit securely. Before ordering, measure the internal width and depth of the gutter and check that the brush will sit correctly.
For standard domestic half round or square guttering, some installations may use a smaller brush size. However, deep flow, ogee, cast effect and larger gutter profiles may need the 125mm size depending on the shape and depth of the gutter.
Brush Maintenance
Once fitted correctly, the brush helps keep larger debris out of the gutter channel. However, it will not stop all silt, fine particles or vegetation caused by drifting seeds.
In areas with heavy tree cover, roof moss or regular leaf fall, check and clean the brush when needed. The brush can be lifted out, cleaned and refitted if debris builds up over time.
