Prickle Strip 490mm Pack of 8

Description

The prickle strip 490mm pack of 8 is designed to help deter birds, pests and unwanted access on walls, gates, fences, ledges and exposed roofline areas. Each strip has pointed polypropylene cones that create an uncomfortable landing or climbing surface.

This Fixman prickle strip pack is made from tough polypropylene and is UV weather resistant for outdoor use. The strips can be fixed with nails, screws or suitable adhesive, making them a practical option for domestic, trade and maintenance work.

Each 490mm strip can also be snapped at intervals for a neater fit around shorter runs, corners or awkward areas. When installed correctly, the pack gives a simple deterrent barrier without needing metal spikes or complex fixings.

Fitting a Prickle Strip

Before fitting, make sure the surface is clean, stable and suitable for fixing. Position each strip along the top of the wall, gate, fence or ledge, then secure it using suitable nails, screws or adhesive for the surface.

For a tidy finish, snap or cut the strip at suitable intervals where shorter lengths are needed. Always check the area after fitting to make sure the strips are secure and clearly visible.

This product should be fitted responsibly. Property owners should make sure the strips are installed where they will not cause avoidable harm to people, pets or wildlife.

The supplied warning sign should be displayed clearly so visitors and passers-by can see that an anti-intruder or deterrent device has been fitted.
