Description

The bird spikes 500mm pack of 10 is designed to help prevent birds from landing on buildings, fences, walls, ledges and exposed roofline areas. Each strip creates a physical deterrent that helps reduce mess, noise and damage caused by perching birds.

This Fixman bird spike pack is made with a stainless steel base and stainless steel spikes for strong outdoor performance. The 500mm strips can be fixed to timber, concrete, masonry or suitable plastic surfaces using the correct fixing method for the surface.

Each strip is 500mm long, with the pack providing approximately 5 metres of total coverage. The 50mm wide base and 105mm spike height make these spikes a practical option for domestic, trade and property maintenance work.

Bird Spikes for Rooflines, Walls and Fences

The bird spikes are commonly fitted where pigeons and other birds regularly land or perch. They are useful for roof edges, wall tops, fence lines, signs, sills, beams and other exposed areas where bird fouling can become a problem.

Fitting Bird Spikes

Before fitting, clean the surface and make sure it is stable, dry and suitable for fixing. Position the bird spikes along the landing area, then secure them through the pre-drilled fixing holes or with a suitable outdoor adhesive.

For timber, concrete or masonry surfaces, mechanical fixings are usually the strongest option. For suitable plastic surfaces, use a suitable adhesive or fixing method recommended for the material.

Spikes Safety and Use

These bird spikes should be fitted responsibly as a bird deterrent, not as a harmful trap. Make sure they are clearly visible and positioned where they will not create an avoidable hazard for people, pets or wildlife.

Always check the site before fitting. Avoid blocking gutter flow, access points, vents or maintenance areas. Also make sure the product is suitable for the surface and location before installation.
