Description

The Timco Solo 6mm wood screws are chipboard and woodscrews for timber, chipboard, MDF and masonry fixing when used with a suitable plastic plug. With a 6mm diameter and 150mm length, they are ideal for longer fixing applications where extra reach and holding power are required.

These 6mm wood screws feature a PZ3 Pozi drive and double countersunk head to help reduce the risk of head shear while assisting with clean countersinking. The 25° sharp point and single lead help provide a fast start and improved thread acceptance.

The zinc yellow finish is suitable for clean, dry and low humidity environments. The screw is wax lubricated to improve insertion speed, driving torque and corrosion resistance, while the 40° deep single thread helps provide a secure fixing with strong pull-out resistance.

How to Use

Select a compatible PZ3 driver bit and keep the driver aligned with the screw head during installation. A pilot hole may be required in dense timber, long fixing applications or when fixing close to an edge.

Drive the screw steadily until the double countersunk head sits flush with the surface. Avoid overtightening, especially in chipboard, MDF or thinner timber sections.

When fixing into masonry, use a suitable plastic plug and ensure the fixing is appropriate for the base material and application.
