Description
The Timco 5mm wood screws are classic multi-purpose screws for timber, chipboard, MDF, plastic and thin sheet metal fixing work. With a 5mm diameter and 100mm length, they are suitable for heavier trade, workshop, site and DIY jobs where a longer, stronger wood screw fixing is required.
These 5mm wood screws feature a PZ2 drive and double countersunk head to help reduce the risk of head shear and assist countersinking. The 25° sharp point with single slash helps reduce torque and lowers the chance of timber splitting when fixing close to an edge.
The zinc yellow finish provides corrosion resistance for clean, dry and sheltered applications. The patented lubrication helps improve insertion speed, while the 40° deep single coarse thread gives strong pull-out resistance in suitable materials.

How to Use
Select a compatible PZ2 driver bit and keep the driver aligned with the screw head during installation. A pilot hole may be required in hardwood, dense timber or when fixing close to an edge.
Drive the screw steadily until the countersunk head sits flush with the surface. Avoid overtightening, especially in thinner timber, MDF or chipboard.
Store unused screws in the box to keep them organised, clean and ready for future fixing work.
