Freefoam 2 Part Edge Trim 3m
The 2 Part Edge Trim creates a clean, colour-matched finish at the exposed edge of a Freefoam FC151 shiplap cladding installation. Its two-piece construction conceals cut board edges and installation fixings while providing a straight border around the completed elevation.
This genuine Freefoam FC3013 profile is compatible with Standard Shiplap and Open V cladding. It is particularly useful where a clip-on finishing cover is easier to install than a fixed one-piece channel.

How the 2 Part Edge Trim Works
The rear section is fixed to suitable supporting battens before the cladding boards are installed. The cut board edges are positioned against the fixed base while maintaining the expansion clearance required by Freefoam.
Once the cladding is secure, cut the colour-matched front section to length and clip it into the base. The cover then hides the board edges, fixings and expansion space.

Where to Use the Edge Trim
The profile can be used wherever an exposed edge of the cladding requires a neat finish. Typical locations include the sides of a clad elevation, beside adjoining walls and around suitable window or door details.
This trim finishes one exposed cladding edge. It does not form a corner between two clad elevations. Use the matching FC3043 external corner where boards meet around an outward-facing 90-degree corner.
Two-Part or Universal Edge Trim?
The FC3013 has a separate clip-on cover. This allows the base to be installed first and the visible section to be fitted after the boards are secure. It also helps conceal board fixings and cut edges.
The FC3023 Universal Edge Trim is a one-piece channel. The board must be inserted into that profile during installation. The two-part trim is generally more forgiving where access makes it difficult to slide the final board into a fixed channel.
Compatible Freefoam Cladding
Freefoam states that FC3013 is suitable for FC151 Single Shiplap and FV100 Open V cladding. It should not be confused with the FC301E3 trim used for Fortex embossed Double Shiplap and Feather Edge boards.
Choose the variation matching the selected FC151 cladding. White has a smooth finish, while Black Ash, Anthracite Grey and Agate Grey use coordinating woodgrain foil finishes.

Installation Guidance
Install suitable support battens behind the edge of the cladding. Measure, cut and fix the rear section before fitting the surrounding boards. Allow the expansion space specified by Freefoam and use corrosion-resistant cladding screws.
After the boards have been secured, cut the front cover to the required length and clip it fully into the fixed base. Check that the cover is engaged along the entire edge.
