H Trim for Joining Fortex Cladding
The H Trim creates a neat, colour-matched vertical joint between two lengths of Freefoam Fortex cladding. It covers the cut ends of both boards, hides the installation fixings and provides a straight, professional division across the clad elevation.
This genuine Freefoam accessory is especially useful when the required cladding run is longer than the available board length. It can also be used to introduce a planned vertical break between separate areas of cladding.

How the H Trim Works
The FC315E3 has a two-part clip-together design. First, fix the rear profile to suitable supporting battens at the planned joint. The cladding boards can then be fitted into each side while leaving the expansion clearance required by Freefoam.
Once the boards are fitted and secured, cut the colour-matched cover to length and clip it into the base. As a result, the board ends, expansion space and fixings are covered by one clean vertical profile.

Compatible Fortex Cladding
The joining trim is designed for Freefoam Fortex embossed cladding systems. It can be used with compatible Double Shiplap, Feather Edge and Shadow Gap installations where a full-height straight joint is required.
Unlike a small profile-specific butt joint, the H-shaped trim forms a continuous joint across the elevation. Therefore, it is suitable for dividing complete sections of cladding rather than joining individual boards at staggered positions.

Installation Guidance
Install suitable supporting battens behind both sides of the planned joint. Fix the base section before installing the surrounding cladding boards. Allow the correct expansion clearance at each board end and use corrosion-resistant cladding screws.
After securing the boards, cut the front cover to the required length and clip it fully into the base profile. Always follow the current Freefoam instructions for ventilation, fixing centres and expansion allowances.
