Description

The Everbuild Linseed Oil Putty 1kg is a traditional multi-purpose glazing compound for single glass glazing into timber and metal window frames. It is ideal for trade, maintenance, repair and renovation work where a smooth, hand-applied putty is required.

This linseed oil putty is specially formulated for glazing single glass into softwood, hardwood and metal frames. It is easier to apply than many standard putties and includes an added plasticiser to help improve adhesion and reduce cracking.

The putty is suitable for window repair, glazing restoration, frame maintenance and general glazing work. It can be used by glaziers, decorators, builders, joiners, maintenance teams and DIY users working on traditional window frames.

This Linseed Oil Putty is supplied in a 1kg tub. It is available in Natural or Brown depending on stock, making it suitable for different frame finishes and repair requirements.

How to Use Linseed Oil Putty

Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material before use. Timber frames should be sealed with an oil-based primer or suitable timber sealer before glazing.

Mix the contents thoroughly before use to blend in any surface oil. Apply the putty by hand or with a putty knife, then smooth to the required finish. Do not overpaint until a surface skin has formed, usually after at least 7 days and no later than 30 days after glazing.

Important Limitations
