Fortex Vented Starter Trim & Cover 3m
Fortex Vented Starter Trim provides a neat starting or finishing detail while allowing airflow behind compatible exterior cladding. The two-part profile includes a ventilated fixing base and a colour-matched clip-on cover.
Special-order product – we do not normally hold this range in stock. The usual lead time is approximately 1–2 weeks.
How the Two-Part Profile Works
First, fix the rear section to the supporting battens before installing the cladding boards. The ventilated base helps maintain airflow behind the finished cladding system.
Next, fit the boards while leaving the required movement space. Then clip the colour-matched front cover into position. As a result, the profile conceals the cut board edges and fixings.

Where to Use the Fortex Vented Starter Trim
Use this profile where a ventilated starting edge or covered finishing detail is required. It can help form a straight base for the first course of boards while maintaining airflow behind the cladding.
The cover section can also produce a clean finish around suitable board edges. However, always follow the current Freefoam installation guide for the selected board profile.
Why Cladding Ventilation Matters
A ventilated cavity allows air to move behind the exterior cladding. Therefore, trapped moisture can escape instead of remaining behind the boards.
Correct ventilation also supports the long-term performance of the installation. In addition, suitable battens, fixings and expansion gaps must be used throughout the project.

Select the colour that matches your Fortex cladding boards. Quantity 1 equals one complete 3m fixing base and clip-on cover.
First, measure every required starting and finishing edge. Then allow additional material for cuts and separate elevations.
Colours may look different on individual screens. Therefore, check a physical Freefoam colour sample when an exact match is important.
