Freefoam Cladding Starter Trim 3m
The Cladding Starter Trim provides a straight and secure starting point at the bottom of a Freefoam PVC cladding installation. The first board slots into the profile, helping to keep the opening course level and correctly positioned.
This genuine Freefoam FCF2123 trim is compatible with FC151 Standard Shiplap, FV100 Open V and selected Fortex embossed cladding profiles. Because the trim sits behind the first board, it is supplied in White for use with every compatible cladding colour.

How the Cladding Starter Trim Works
Fix the starter profile horizontally to suitable support battens at the bottom of the installation. Check that the trim is straight and level before fitting the first board.
The lower edge of the first cladding board slots into the starter. The upper fixing lip is then secured to each supporting batten with suitable corrosion-resistant cladding screws.

Standard or Ventilated Starter Trim?
The FCF2123 is a basic non-ventilated starter profile. It supports the first cladding board but does not provide a continuous ventilation opening.
Freefoam installation guidance requires continuous ventilation behind external cladding. Therefore, a ventilated starter profile may be required at the bottom of the installation, depending on the complete design and fitting detail.

Installation Guidance
Fit the trim to suitable supporting battens and check that it remains level across the full elevation. Use appropriate corrosion-resistant fixings and follow the current Freefoam instructions for batten spacing, ventilation and board expansion.
