Fortex Double Shiplap Butt Joint 333mm
Double Shiplap Butt Joint for covering the expansion joint between two Fortex 333mm exterior cladding boards. Its moulded profile and embossed finish provide a neat, colour-matched connection between adjoining boards.
Special-order product – we do not normally hold this range in stock. The usual lead time is approximately 1–2 weeks.
When ordered with 5m cladding boards, this fitting follows the local North East delivery or Hexham collection restrictions applied to the boards. Parcel delivery may be possible when butt joints are ordered separately, but please contact us before ordering.
How the Double Shiplap Butt Joint Is Used
Use the joint where the ends of two Fortex Double Shiplap boards meet. It covers the required gap while helping the completed elevation maintain a consistent embossed finish.
The compact fitting also allows joints to be staggered across the wall rather than creating one continuous vertical trim line. As a result, installers can achieve a more natural and less prominent joint pattern.

Double Shiplap Butt Joint Compatibility
This fitting is made for the Fortex 333mm Double Shiplap profile. It should not be used with Feather Edge or Shadow Gap boards because those profiles require their own matching butt joints.

Planning the Board Joints
Measure the wall and plan the board layout before installation. You will normally need one butt joint at each end-to-end board connection.
However, the exact quantity depends on the wall width, board cuts and chosen joint pattern. Staggering the joints between rows can produce a more balanced finished appearance.
Choosing the Correct Colour
Select the colour that matches your Fortex cladding boards. Quantity 1 equals one individual butt joint.
Colours may appear differently on individual screens. Therefore, check a physical Freefoam colour sample when an exact match is important.
