Description
McAlpine ASC10-CO 40mm 1½” Adjustable P Trap with Appliance & Condensate Connections
McAlpine ASC10-CO is a 40mm / 1½” adjustable inlet tubular swivel P trap with appliance and condensate pipe connections. It is designed for sink, basin and waste pipe installations where a 40mm trap is required with extra connection points for washing machine, dishwasher or condensing boiler discharge pipework.
McAlpine ASC10-CO Trade Overview
The McAlpine ASC10-CO is a practical trap for plumbers, heating engineers, kitchen fitters and maintenance teams. It combines a 40mm tubular swivel P trap with an adjustable inlet, a washing machine appliance nozzle and a small condensate pipe connection.
The adjustable inlet helps line the trap up with the sink or basin waste outlet. The swivel P trap body also helps align the horizontal outlet with the waste pipe, which is useful on repair, replacement and refurbishment jobs where existing pipework may not line up perfectly.
This trap has a 75mm water seal to help prevent drain odours from coming back through the waste system. The 1½” Multifit compression outlet is suitable for common waste pipe materials including plastic, copper and lead pipe.
The ASC10-CO is especially useful under kitchen sinks and utility sinks where an appliance waste and boiler condensate connection may be needed in the same area. Builder Depot also lists the fitting as supplied with a blank plug, allowing the trap to be used without connected appliances where required.

Why Choose an Appliance & Condensate Trap?
An appliance and condensate trap is useful when several waste connections need to be brought together neatly below a sink. The McAlpine ASC10-CO gives installers one fitting for the main sink waste, an appliance waste hose and a small condensate discharge pipe.
This helps keep the pipework tidy inside kitchen base units and utility cupboards. It can also save time on jobs where separate adaptors would otherwise be needed.
Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that the waste outlet and waste pipe are suitable for a 40mm / 1½” trap. Cut the waste pipe cleanly and make sure it is fully seated inside the Multifit compression outlet. Adjust the inlet height to suit the waste outlet, then rotate the swivel body to line up with the waste pipe.
If connecting an appliance hose, make sure the hose is secured correctly to the appliance nozzle. If using the condensate connection, check that the pipe size is suitable and follow the boiler manufacturer’s condensate discharge guidance. Any unused connection should be securely blanked off where a blanking cap or plug is supplied.
After fitting, run water through the waste and check all compression joints, appliance connections and condensate connections for leaks.
