McAlpine ASC10-SP 40mm 1½” Adjustable P Trap with Condensate Connection
McAlpine ASC10-SP is a 40mm / 1½” adjustable inlet tubular swivel P trap with a 19/23mm condensate pipe connection. It is designed for sink, basin and waste pipe installations where a standard 40mm P trap is needed with an additional connection for condensing boiler discharge pipework.
McAlpine ASC10-SP Trade Overview
The McAlpine ASC10-SP is a practical trap for plumbers, heating engineers, kitchen fitters and maintenance teams. It combines a 40mm tubular swivel P trap with an adjustable inlet and a small 19/23mm pipe connection. This makes it useful where condensate discharge needs to connect into the sink or basin waste trap.
The adjustable inlet helps line the trap up with the waste outlet, while the swivel trap body helps align the horizontal outlet with the waste pipe. This gives installers more flexibility on repair, replacement and refurbishment jobs where existing pipe positions may vary.
The trap has a 75mm water seal to help prevent drain odours from coming back through the waste system. The Multifit compression outlet is suitable for common waste pipe materials including plastic, copper and lead pipe.
The condensate connection can receive 19/23mm pipework, and supplier listings state that the trap is supplied with a blanking cap. This means the additional connection can be blanked off when it is not being used.

Installation Notes
Before fitting, check that the waste outlet and waste pipe are suitable for a 40mm / 1½” trap. Cut the waste pipe cleanly and make sure it is fully seated inside the Multifit compression outlet. Adjust the inlet height to suit the waste outlet, then rotate the swivel body to line up with the waste pipe.
If using the condensate connection, check that the discharge pipe size is suitable for the 19/23mm connection and follow the boiler manufacturer’s condensate discharge guidance. If the condensate connection is not being used, fit the supplied blanking cap securely.
After fitting, run water through the waste and check all joints for leaks. Also check the condensate connection or blanking cap before leaving the job.
