Description

The female adaptor is used to connect 40mm solvent weld waste pipework to a compatible male threaded waste fitting. It is also commonly referred to as a cap and lining fitting, making it useful where a solvent weld waste system needs to connect into a threaded waste connection.

This FloPlast 40mm solvent weld female adaptor is supplied in White and is designed for compatible ABS solvent weld waste systems. When installed with the correct solvent cement and pipe preparation, it creates a permanent solvent weld joint on the pipe side.

The female adaptor is designed for 40mm ABS solvent weld waste systems. It provides a cap and lining style connection for joining solvent weld pipework to a compatible male threaded fitting.

Using a Female Adaptor

Before fitting, check that the pipe, adaptor and threaded connection are the correct size and type for the installation. Cut the pipe square, remove burrs, chamfer the pipe end where required and follow the correct solvent weld process for the system being installed.

Apply solvent cement to the solvent weld connection as directed by the manufacturer. Make sure the cap and lining connection is fitted only to a compatible male threaded waste fitting.

This female adaptor is suitable for 40mm waste pipe installations where a threaded connection point is required. It can be used in kitchen, bathroom, shower, utility and general internal waste pipework.

Before ordering, check that White is the correct colour and that the connection type suits the fitting or appliance being connected. This adaptor is for solvent weld waste systems and is not intended for push fit waste pipe.
