Description

The Timco Cold Chisel ¾” x 10″ is a heavy-duty guarded chisel for cutting, splitting, shaping and removing material from stone, brickwork, mortar, cement and masonry. It is ideal for building, renovation, demolition and general trade work.

This cold chisel is manufactured from drop forged EN9 carbon steel for strength and durability. The hardened and tempered construction, precision ground cutting edge and impact resistant tip help provide long tool life during demanding site tasks.

The hex shank gives a strong, practical shape for grip and control, while the tough powder coating helps improve corrosion resistance. The shock-resistant ergonomic hand guard helps protect the user’s hand during striking work.

How to Use a Cold Chisel

Position the chisel cutting edge against the material and hold the hand guard securely. Strike the chisel head with a suitable lump hammer or club hammer using controlled blows.

Work gradually and avoid forcing the chisel too deeply in one strike. Keep the cutting edge correctly positioned and move along the material as required for cutting, chasing or removal work.

Always wear suitable eye protection and gloves when using a cold chisel. Check the chisel and hand guard before use, and do not use the tool if the head, edge or guard is damaged.
